Each mode of the major scale gives us a different degree of tonal brightness and a great way to directly compare each mode is to take the same melody and play it in each different scale. So today I'm taking the Beatles' classic "Norwegian Wood" and manipulating it to sound in Lydian, Major, Mixolydian, Dorian, Aeolian, Phrygian and even the dreaded Locrian!

My video on the Mixolydian mode:    • Songs that use the Mixolydian mode

And, an extra special thanks goes to Douglas Lind, Vidad Flowers, Ivan Pang, Waylon Fairbanks, Jon Dye, Austin Russell, Christopher Ryan, Toot & Paul Peijzel, the channel’s Patreon saints! 😇
